More popular than coffee in India and is served every where by "chai wallahs," or street vendors. Chai’s history is over 5000 years old, with its creators enjoying it both hot and cold. Some stories say it was invented by a royal king in the ancient courts of India & Siam who protected the recipe as one of his treasures. Chai is spiced milky tea, it combines the warm spices; cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, cloves and pepper with black tea, milk and either honey or sugar.  All the ingredients are brewed together to make a Chai Latte.
